This farmers Cooperative is located in the Kericho County in East Kenya, surrounded by the largest indigenous forest in East Africa, the Mau Forest and Nandi Hills. This cooperative manages multiple farming activities within the region, supporting different aspects of the agricultural market, including dairy and horticultural, not just coffee.

Kapnge’tuny is one of the first coops to take the charge on empowering women in the area, transferring full ownership of the land and coffee trees, as well as the responsibility of their own production and harvest, improving relations and livelihood of the residents and workers on the farms greatly long-term, and ensuring the safety of the women working and living in the area. Having also been one of the first coops in the area to work with fairtrade associations, they have always ensured that the crop they produce is both of superb quality, but also is fair to its hardworking farmers in providing the recognition they deserve.
